Caliber Persitent Labial Artery: An Unknown Vascular Lesion or a Mistaken Arteriovenous Malformation
نویسندگان
چکیده
Introduction In Caliber persistent labial artery (CPLA) can be defined as a vascular anomaly, which consists in the absence of distal tapering and branching of an artery when it penetrates in the submucosal tissue. The term “Caliber Persistent Artery” was first coiled by Voth [1] in 1962, and resembles the well-known gastric Dieulafoy [2] lesion. It was not until 1962 that Howell [3] described the first case of Persistent Caliber “Labial Artery”. Reported incidence in large samples of healthy population can range between 3-5% and has equal gender distribution [3-12]. Lesion presents most frequently in the fifth decade of life. To date less than 20 publications are available, all with few reported cases and scarce imaging correlation.

Huge Arteriovenous Malformation of Upper Lip- A Case Report
Introduction: Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are uncommon vascular lesions that can arise in any part of the body. Case Report: In this case study, we presented a huge AVM of the upper lip in a 70-year-old man that he noticed since 5years ago with slow growth in this period. Computed tomography angiography revealed a large AVM with feeders from the right...

Tinnitus is one of the most common symptoms in an audiologic field. It can be classified as either as subjective or objective; former referring to the sensation heard by both patient and examiner. Pulsatile tinnitus is perceived as sounds that vary in frequency, intensity and duration. The cause of pulsatile tinnitus include high jugular bulb, benign intracranial hypertension, glomus tumors, ca...
متن کاملHigh-Flow Vascular Malformation of Ear: A Case Report
Vascular anomalies are categorized into vascular tumours or vascular malformations on the basis of clinical features and histopathology. The literature regarding high flow arteriovenous malformations of the auricle is rare. A case of a patient clinically diagnosed with an arteriovenous malformation of the external ear and was managed with preoperative embolization, surgical excision and reconst...
متن کاملArteriovenous malformation associated with multiple aneurysms including anterior communicating artery aneurysm located in the third ventricle: a case report.
Following the significant advances in neuroradiology, it has been now recognized that an intracranial arteriovenous malformation (AVM) lesion and vascular aneurysm(s) might coexist more often than estimated before. A58-yearold female seen due to a subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) was subsequently shown to have an AVM lesion fed by the pericallosal frontopolar, M1 segment of the middle cerebral art...
متن کاملRuptured tectal arteriovenous malformation demonstrated angiographically after removal of an unruptured occipital lobe arteriovenous malformation.
We report a case of ruptured tectal arteriovenous malformation (AVM) that was demonstrated angiographically only after removal of an unruptured occipital AVM. A 57-year-old man presented with sudden onset of diplopia and tinnitus. Computed tomography revealed a small hemorrhage in the right tectum mesencephali with intraventricular hemorrhage. Magnetic resonance imaging and angiography disclose...
